Exclusive: Actors, politicians' names emerge in Dawood-linked drug syndicate probe

Names of several actors and politicians have emerged during Mumbai Police’s probe into underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim-linked drug syndicate. The Mumbai Police’s Anti Narcotics Cell has busted a major drug syndicate run by wanted drug lord Salim Dola who is said to be an associate of Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Investigators say Dola operated the syndicate from Dubai, supplying mephedrone—also known as M-Cat, Meow Meow and Ice—to seven to eight states and smuggling large quantities overseas.

Dola’s son, Taher Dola, extradited from the UAE in August, has revealed key details during interrogation. According to confidential documents accessed by India Today, Taher said several Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and relatives of Dawood Ibrahim attended drug parties organised by him in India and abroad.

India Today has exclusively accessed documents containing names revealed by Taher Dola. The remand copy accessed by India Today TV reads, “Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties.”

“The said accused has previously organised drug parties in the country and abroad with Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, Ori alias Orhan, Abbas Mastaan, Loka and many other people and has himself joined in them and is supplying drugs to these and other people.”

The syndicate is also under investigation by ED and Mumbai Crime branch.

Now Mumbai Crime branch will summon the actors, rappers and filmmakers for their statements and could also take further action against them.
