Five young men were killed after the Fortuner SUV they were travelling in crashed into a sand-laden tractor-trolley from behind on the Gwalior-Jhansi Highway in Madhya Pradesh late Saturday, police said.
The SUV was travelling towards Gwalior when it rammed the tractor-trolley near Malwa College. The impact was so severe that all five occupants died on the spot, and the vehicle was reduced to mangled scraps.
A police team rushed to the scene upon receiving the information and began a preliminary investigation. The bodies were sent for post-mortem, and the damaged vehicles were removed to clear the highway.
